Spaghetti with roasted kale, ham, and feta cheese
Ingredients
- 150 g durum spaghetti pasta (measured dry, 150 g)
- ½ head (450 g) kale
- 90 g Black Forest ham
- 3 cloves garlic
- 200 g light feta cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- salt
- freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
- Cut the kale in half, remove any outer leaves that are damaged or dirty. Wash it. Cut out the core, then slice it thinly. Put it in a mixing bowl.
- Slice the ham and garlic as well.
- Cook the spaghetti in salted water until al dente. When ready, drain and set aside. It is good to leave a little water on it, which will make the whole dish creamier.
- Pour a little olive oil into a frying pan, add the ham and garlic. Fry until half cooked. (Black Forest ham is not very fatty, so you need to add oil.)
- Add the kale strips, let them fry for a few minutes, then stir and toss them. Do not add salt at this point, as it will cause them to release liquid and prevent them from browning. Once they are browned, add salt and pepper.
- Add the cooked pasta. Mix thoroughly. When serving, stir in diced feta cheese, which will melt slightly from the heat of the pasta and become creamy.
