Homemade chocolate granola
For breakfast, as a sweet snack, or with porridge

Chocolate granola can be made at home by mixing chocolate chips into this granola recipe. However, I baked it in a much more exciting way: I used milk chocolate-flavored honey. One of the main ingredients of granola, or baked muesli, is honey, which makes this delicacy sweet and crunchy. The milk chocolate-flavored honey really puts the icing on the cake. This honey is delicious on its own, you could almost eat it by the spoonful. In the chocolate granola, it is combined with a little almond and walnut. Imagine all this roasted! I’ll let you in on a secret: you’ll get heavenly flavors. 🙂

The honey used in granola caramelizes during baking, giving it a unique flavor and a crispier texture than traditional muesli.
What exactly is granola, and why shouldn’t you eat too much of it? Find out here!
How to eat granola?
- pour milk over it (plant-based milk is also fine)
- mix it into yogurt
- sprinkle it on the bottom and top of a cup of cream (as in this recipe)
- top your porridge with it
- eat it on its own
- enjoy it with fresh fruit (or with baked fruit in fall and winter)
This chocolate granola is also the perfect Christmas gift. Put it in a pretty jar, tie a Christmas bow on it, and surprise your loved ones!
