Lunch wrap ideas – Diet-friendly and delicious
Wraps with Bolognese ragout and cheese sauce

A wrap is a type of dish that typically consists of various ingredients rolled up in a thin, soft flatbread – such as a tortilla or pita. So, if you roll up a tortilla, it technically counts as a wrap – though you can absolutely call it a tortilla roll if you prefer; it won’t take offense. 🙂
It’s good to know that the term wrap actually refers to a broader category, which includes not only tortillas but also other types of flatbreads, like pita or lavash. The fillings and flavors are endlessly versatile, which is why wraps are a staple in so many different cuisines around the world.
To sum it up: every tortilla roll is a wrap, but not every wrap is made with a tortilla.
In the end, it doesn’t really matter what we call it – what’s important to me is that it’s incredibly quick and easy to make. Plus, wraps are a great way to use up leftovers from the fridge, turning them into a variety of light and healthy rolls for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The recipe below was created exactly that way – from a few leftovers and a touch of creativity.

Ingredients (for 1 person)
- 1 tortilla (whole wheat is a better choice for a healthy diet)
- 1 serving of Bolognese sauce – use this bean and corn Bolognese recipe
- 1 serving of cheese sauce – use the cheese sauce recipe described in the vegan lasagna recipe
- 1 handful mixed salad leaves
Preparation
Just fry your tortilla, spread some soft cheese sauce on it, pile on the meat ragout and a large handful of salad, then roll it up and enjoy the combination of flavors.
The only problem with it is that it’s hard to stop at just one. 🙂
