Cheesy Breadsticks Recipe
Try them for a mid-morning snack or an afternoon bite!

Cheesy breadsticks can also be made with whole wheat flour. This version is more soft than crunchy. It’s a yeasted dough, which makes these cheese sticks wonderfully light. They’re a great choice for a mid-morning or afternoon snack, especially with a glass of kefir. Also perfect as a party treat. Give them a try!

Ingredients
- 150 g whole wheat flour
- 100 g all-purpose wheat flour
- 20 g fresh yeast
- 100 g sour cream or crème rraîche
- 1 egg
- 8 g salt
- 100 g melted butter (at least 82 % fat)
A tetejére
- 1 egg (for brushing)

Instructions
- Place all the dough ingredients in a mixing bowl and knead thoroughly. Shape it into a ball, and let it rest in a warm place, covered, for at least 1 hour.
- After rising, put the dough on a floured board and roll it out into a rectangle (you may need a bit of extra flour underneath). Roll to about 0.5 cm thickness.
- Brush the surface with the beaten egg, then sprinkle with the grated cheese.
- With a sharp knife, cut the dough into strips about 10 cm long and 1.5 cm wide.
- Place the strips on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 °C or 392°F (top & bottom heat with fan) for about 20 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
- Let them cool before serving.
