Ingredients

  • 250 g low-fat curd cheese (cottage cheese)
  • 80 g sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon sweet red paprika powder (Hungarian)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper
  • caraway seeds, to taste
  • ½ red onion (about 50 g) or 2 spring onions

Instructions

  • Finely chop the red onion. Salt it lightly and mix it with the salt. Let it sit for 5 minutes. (If using spring onion, salting is not necessary.)
  • Place the cottage cheese in a mixing bowl. Add the sour cream and spices. Mix thoroughly. Finally, stir in the prepared onion.
  • If you want to add egg whites, boil 2 eggs until hard. Remove the yolks. Cut the egg whites into small cubes and mix them into the cottage cheese mixture.
  • It tastes even better if you let it rest in the fridge for 1-2 hours.
