Ingredients

  • 300 g broccoli (1 medium-sized head)
  • 1 can of tuna in olive oil
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of sweet red paprika powder (Hungarian)
  • 1 pinch of sliced almonds

Instructions

  • Cut the broccoli into florets, wash it thoroughly, and cook it in cold salted water. Be careful not to overcook it – it should stay slightly crunchy.
Tip: Add about 200 ml of sparkling water (or a pinch of baking soda) to the cooking water to help the broccoli keep its vibrant green color after cooking.
  • Drain the oil from the tuna can into a bowl. Mix in the spices and set aside.
  • Toast the sliced almonds in a dry frying pan without oil. Watch carefully, as they can burn quickly. Once toasted, immediately transfer them to a bowl.
  • Drain the broccoli and place it into a serving bowl. Add the tuna on top. Drizzle with the seasoned oil and sprinkle with the toasted almond slices.
  • Serve and enjoy while still warm!
